Toggle Active, On Hold & Web

Toggle Overview

The Sapphire Toggle Active tool enables the SapphireOne user to change the status of an inventory item or group of inventory items to Active, On Hold or Web. This gives the SapphireOne user the ability to update inventory items within a Job Project depending on the status of the inventory.

For example, you may have a group of clients who regularly purchase inventory i.e. daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually, etc. You may do a stock take of your inventory and realise there are insufficient inventory levels to fulfill the client order. This could be for a number of reasons such as a delay with delivery or shipment or a manufacturing issue. By utilising the Sapphire Toggle Active, OnHold and Web tool to, the SapphireOne user can then update the status of the delayed inventory items from the Base Inventory Inquiry screen to On Hold until the full shipment arrives.

These three Toggle tools are only used with a Base Inventory Inquiry. A Base Inventory Inquiry is available from both Inventory and Project modes. The tool is used when a list of Base Inventory items is onscreen.

These Toggle tools will switch the status of the selected inventory items to the opposite of what they were before the toggle tool was executed. All three Toggles, Active, Hold and Web are checkboxes which are on the first page of a Base Inventory Inquiry. This is on the Details Page, the top section which is displayed in the screenshot below.

Toggle Active

When the Toggle Active tool is executed SapphireOne will reverse the status of these checkboxes, Ticked will be un-ticked, and un-ticked will be ticked.

For the selected inventory items this tool will toggle the checkbox status.

For checkbox items it will switch them to inactive, and for items that are inactive it will switch them to active. 


Toggle On Hold

SapphireOne will execute this tool for all Inventory items that are in the list and not just the items that the user has highlighted. The items that are to be altered must first be highlighted then (Command G for MacOS and Control G for Windows) selected so that they are the only items in the list on screen.

On the first page of an Inventory Inquiry there is a checkbox which determines if the inventory item is to be placed on hold. When the Toggle Active tool is executed SapphireOne will reverse the status of these checkboxes.

For the selected inventory items this tool will toggle the checkbox status.

For inactive checkbox items it will switch them to active, and for items that are inactive it will switch them to active.

The user will be asked if they want to enter in a reason for this hold being placed on these Inventory items.
All items in the list will have their hold status inverted.


Toggle Web.

SapphireOne will execute this tool for all Inventory items that are in the list and not just the items that the user has highlighted. The items that are to be altered must first be highlighted then (Command G for MacOS and Control G for Windows) selected so that they are the only items in the list on screen.

For the selected inventory items this tool will toggle the checkbox status.

For inactive checkbox items it will switch them to active, and for items that are active it will switch them to inactive.
