The Sapphire Swap Bay Location tool enables the SapphireOne user to efficiently change the location of batch inventory. The SapphireOne user has the ability to enter the quantity of inventory they wish to move. Then, the user can select the desired Bay or Shelf they wish to swap it to.
SapphireOne will identify and display the available quantity. Then, the SapphireOne user has the ability to enter the specific the amount of inventory within that batch that they wish to move.
For example, you may own a company that is a wholesale supplier of industrial tools and parts. Consequently, you store inventory within a large warehouse location. You may receive a new shipment of batch inventory and are required to store it in a fixed bay/shelf or pick face. However, due to left over stock remaining, the current bay/shelf may not be able to store the entire quantity. The SapphireOne user can utilise the Sapphire Swap Bay Location tool to move the left over quantity to another bay/shelf. Also, the user can keep a record of the new location for future picking. They can also utilise storage space within the warehouse.
Also, within the Sapphire Custom Web Pack, the Sapphire user has the ability to utilise the smart routing functionality for a picking job. Smart Routing enables the SapphireOne user to efficiently pick inventory by tracking the shortest distance and most efficient picking route through the specific warehouse location. This is extremely beneficial for time management in the inventory picking process.
