Find No Sale Item Overview

The SapphireOne user should note that this tool is available from an Inventory Locations Inquiry only.

Inventory management probably forms a large part of any businesses activities, so from time to time all businesses should review all of the active Inventory stock that they have in the data file. Using this Sapphire tool these items may then be looked through and a decision made to inactivate certain items.

It should be noted that for an Inventory Item that has no sales processed for the entered period, it may not have a zero stock level. It may not be made inactive until the stock level is zero.

There will be discontinued, redundant and no longer available items in your inventory to name just a few reasons why the stock should be set as inactive. When these Inventory items are set as inactive, they will no longer be displayed in any lists or wildcard searches, where the ID forms a part of the search criteria. The Inventory Items ID will still form a part of the data file and the usage of these inactivated ID’s will not be allowed.

If an attempt is made to enter one of these inactive ID’s, SapphireOne will warn the user that the ID already exists. By selecting the Show Inactive option from the Sapphire Tools menu the user is able to include these in the list of Inventory items and re-activate them as required.

Find No Sale Item in Operation

First go to Inventory mode and perform an Inventory Locations Inquiry and select the Find no Sale Item option for the Sapphire Tools menu. Once the tool has been selected an alert will be displayed asking for a start and an end date for the search. SapphireOne will propose the current date as the end date, and leave the Start date open so enter as required.

SapphireOne will then display a shortened list of Inventory Items that have been not been sold or purchased for the entered period.
