Updating Server Requirements

Automatic security updates

Security and/or breach of it is a real threat and can be counteracted by updating to the latest version of Mac and Windows OS.

Remember May 2017, WannaCry ransomware attacking computers using Windows. Big players around the world lost billions, more than 200,000 computers across 150 countries were affected. The reason, they simply missed updating their software.

If you are using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 you need to update to Windows 10 or above and Windows Server 2016 or 2019.

For Mac OS you need to update to macOS 12.0 or above.

This enables automatic security updates.

Dedicated Standalone Application Server

SapphireOne is not certified for virtualised environments.
It does not support the use of a cloud- based application server, such as VMware.

The SapphireOne application server will be installed on a dedicated standalone hard drive, ideally on-premises.
