Change Names Overview
The Change Names function allows for the alteration of the form labels used throughout SapphireOne. Changes made here are applied globally, impacting all screens including custom screens.
It is essential that a backup be made before using this function.
Procedure
- Assess the relevant fields in the screen you would like to alter the labels for.
- Note down the names as they appear currently.
- Navigate to Utilities > Controls > Change Names.
- SapphireOne will display an alert warning the user that executing this function requires due consideration. When Yes is selected the SapphireOne user will see the screen presented here.
- Select the label you intend to modify. These labels are grouped according to the function that they relate to.
- Type the new name in the text area provided.
- Select the Replace button.
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 for additional fields.
- Select OK once complete.
If the label you have selected is not suitable or incorrect you you can replace the label with a new one and apply it with the Update button.
