As part of its end-of-financial-year preparation, Frutex has completed a full warehouse stocktake using SapphireOne WebPack StocktakeEntry, demonstrating how large, multi-warehouse operations can be stocktaked accurately and efficiently in real time.
Frutex has been a SapphireOne client since 1999 and operates from a 60,000-square-metre site comprising seven warehouses. The business is recognised as a technology leader in the food industry, with ongoing investment in modern plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
Frutex warehouse facilities
Frutex recently completed significant expansions to both its frozen and dry storage facilities at its existing site.
The frozen storage facility operates at -20°C and provides approximately 3,500 pallet spaces, while the newly completed dry storage facility adds a further 7,000 pallet spaces. Together with earlier developments, Frutex now manages more than 44,000 pallet spaces across dry, frozen, and production environments.
Live stocktaking with SapphireOne WebPack
Harry, IT & Marketing Manager at Frutex, explains how the SapphireOne WebPack played a key role in streamlining their stocktake process:
“Heads up, we are stocktaking today using SapphireOne’s new and improved multi-warehouse support, with live stocktake visual map updates showing us what’s been counted as we go along. It’s been great working with the SapphireOne team, who have worked tirelessly over the last couple of weeks to make this possible for us.”
Using SapphireOne WebPack, Frutex was able to stocktake the entire facility in just two days, with 15 stocktake teams working simultaneously on iPads across the site. The live visual warehouse mapping allowed teams to see progress in real time, significantly reducing duplication, delays, and manual reconciliation.
Infrastructure supporting real-time operations
To support this level of operational visibility, Frutex recently implemented a 10-gigabit Ubiquiti network, utilising more than 100 UniFi devices to deliver full Wi-Fi coverage across the site. The facility is also monitored by over 100 surveillance cameras, all accessible via iPad and iPhone applications.
Despite the scale of the operation, the entire environment is managed by a relatively small IT team, highlighting the efficiency gained through integrated systems and mobile access.

Frutex uses a custom SapphireOne WebPack, fully integrated across all warehouses and production areas. A key feature is warehouse mapping, which enables stock to be tracked and viewed live on portable iOS devices over the company’s Wi-Fi network.
