The Purchase Journal is used to record the acquisition of new assets, ensuring that your asset records are current and accurate. The steps are as follows:
- Navigate to Assets > Assets > Purchase Journal.
- Enter the exact Asset ID or use the “@” or “?” wildcards to search for the correct ID.
- Fill in Purchase Details:
- Date: Enter the date of the purchase transaction.
- Period: SapphireOne will auto-fill the current period, but you can alter it if necessary.
- Purchase Amount: Enter the amount for which the asset was purchased.
- Tax Code: Enter the applicable tax code.
- Tax Rate: The tax rate will be displayed based on the entered tax code.
- Review all entered details for accuracy.
- Click Save to record the Purchase Journal.
