Dashboards – Job Projects – Overview

The Dashboards function, accessible from multiple locations within SapphireOne, empowers users to access graphical reports that utilise real-time data sourced directly from their SapphireOne data file. This feature provides dynamic insights and visual representations of data to enhance decision-making and data analysis.

User Access to Dashboards

Access to each of these Included Dashboards may be granted both on a user by user basis, and then on a menu by menu basis. This is done by going to Utilities > Controls > User Access Inquiry > Menus Page

Modifying & Deleting Included Dashboards

When it comes to the included dashboards, it’s important to note that editing, modifications and Deletions are not permitted. Users have limited options for making changes to these reports. These dashboards are designed to provide specific and unalterable insights, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

New Dashboards (Reports palette)

New Dashboards are only created by a user from the Reports Palette on the main toolbar. These new dashboards will automatically appear as the last items at the bottom of the Report Palette menu. This placement is designed for convenient and quick access, offering flexibility to customise dashboards to meet specific needs and requirements.

User by User Dashboards

It’s important to note that any dashboards created by a user will only be displayed at the bottom of the Report Palette for that specific user who created them. This ensures a personalised and organised view of dashboards within SapphireOne.

When the Dashboards item is selected from the Job Projects > Job Projects Menu a Select Dashboard menu will be displayed.

SapphireOne has currently included five standard dashboards in the job projects mode which are as follows:

Top 10 Project with most expense
Top 10 Project with most profit
Top 10 Resource by charge total
Top 10 Resource by margin.

Top 10 Job Project With Most Income Dashboard

The Top 10 Job Projects with Highest Income Dashboard in SapphireOne empowers users to effortlessly create a graph that highlights the top ten Job Projects responsible for generating the highest income and revenue. Users can conveniently select their preferred time frame, whether it’s Year to Date or Total to Date. As a result, these Job Projects are systematically ranked in descending order based on their income contributions.

Furthermore, SapphireOne users possess the capability to hover their cursor over the margin of a specific Job Project to access precise details regarding the income generated. This feature enables users to gain insights into income distribution and facilitates data comparison, allowing them to identify both high and low-income generating Job Projects. For instance, users can easily discern which Job Project has yielded the most income for the year.

Top 10 Job Project with Most Expense Dashboard

The Top 10 Job Projects with Highest Expenses Dashboard in SapphireOne offers users a comprehensive view of the top Job Projects that have accumulated the most expenses. Users can easily select their desired time period for analysis, whether it’s Year to Date or Month to Date, using the provided drop-down menu. These Job Projects are thoughtfully arranged in descending order, with the highest cost Job Project taking precedence.

Moreover, SapphireOne users have the convenient option to hover their cursor over a specific Job Project to access precise details about the incurred costs or total expenses. This feature facilitates an in-depth examination of cost distribution, enabling users to make meaningful comparisons, pinpointing areas of both high and low expenses. For instance, users can swiftly identify the most expensive Job Project for the year.

Top 10 Job Project With Most Profit Dashboard

SapphireOne provides users with the Top 10 Job Projects with Highest Profit Dashboard, allowing them to effortlessly create a graph that showcases the top ten Job Projects generating the highest profits. Users can conveniently choose their preferred time frame, such as Year to Date or Month to Date, via the dropdown menu. These Job Projects are meticulously ranked in descending order, commencing with the Job Project yielding the most profit.

Furthermore, SapphireOne users possess the capability to hover over the margin of a specific Job Project to access details regarding the total profit margin. This feature empowers users to gain insights into the distribution of their most profitable Job Projects and facilitates data comparison, helping them identify regions with higher and lower profits. For instance, users can promptly identify the most profitable Job Project for the year.

Top 10 Resource by Charge Total Dashboard

SapphireOne offers users a built-in dashboard that presents the Top 10 Resources by Charge Total. Users can opt to view specific time periods, such as Total to Date or Month to Date.

When configuring Job Projects within the SapphireOne application, users have the option to establish resource-based Job Projects, encompassing various entities like Employees, Machinery, or any other items requiring tracking for Job Projects. Subsequently, SapphireOne users can harness the power of Dashboards to create a graph showcasing the Top 10 Resources by Charge Total.

Furthermore, SapphireOne users can easily access detailed information about the total billable charges associated with a particular Job Project by simply hovering over its margin, thanks to a convenient tool tip feature.

Top 10 Resource by Margin Dashboard

SapphireOne provides users with an integrated dashboard that presents the Top 10 Resources by Margin. When configuring a Job Project within the SapphireOne application, users can choose to create resource-based Job Projects, which may encompass various entities such as Employees, Machinery, or any items requiring tracking for a Job Project. SapphireOne users can then tailor their dashboards to display a graph showcasing the Top 10 Resources by Margin.

To begin, users can select their resource-based Job Projects based on a specific time period, such as Year to Date or Total to Date. Furthermore, SapphireOne users can leverage the hover-over feature, allowing them to access a tool tip containing precise details about the profit margin for each individual resource. This functionality proves invaluable for comparing and analyzing the profitability of different resources within a single graph, enabling users to discern variations in profit across each resource effectively.
