Cashier Reconciliation - Ignite Efficiency with SapphireOne's Quick Features

Cashier Reconciliation Overview

Situated within SapphireOne’s Accounts mode, the Cashier Reconciliation function facilitates swift and uncomplicated reconciliations of cash received throughout a business day.

Although the list will showcase additional transactions, the system will exclusively compute the sum for cash transactions. The only inputs needed are the opening and closing actual cash balances present in the till when executing the reconciliation process.

Cashier Reconciliation Data Entry

To initiate the Cashier Reconciliation process, navigate to the SapphireOne Accounts Mode Receivables Menu and select the corresponding Cashier Reconciliation function. Upon selection, the user will be presented with the data entry screen as seen above. While SapphireOne automatically populates today’s date, users can input alternative dates if needed.

Subsequently, input the Opening balance of the till and the Actual Cash amount present in the till at the end of the business day, also referred to as the Closing Balance. SapphireOne will then aggregate the Opening and Actual Cash figures and reveal any variance, if detected.

Lastly, proceed by clicking the button. This action will execute the transaction and save the Cash Reconciliation in SapphireOne. To review any cashier reconciliations performed the user may go to the Accounts mode, and then select the History > Cash Reconciliation item from the drop down menu. Keep in mind that records in the History function are not editable or removable by the user.

Upon selecting the button, SapphireOne will initiate a filtered inquiry that exclusively showcases active Client receipts. Through this inquiry function, users can examine the general ledger accounts associated with each transaction. If needed, they can also employ a custom inquiry to access specific transaction details they wish to review.
