    What the Drag-and-Drop feature does

    • Simplifies data entry by populating screens instantly
    • Imports an unlimited number of line items and SKUs
    • Works across all Inventory Sales and Inventory Purchases data entry screens

    Many SapphireOne clients process substantial sales orders with tens of thousands of inventory items and hundreds of line items. Drag-and-Drop removes the friction from these workflows by importing data directly from Excel into the application.

    How to use Drag-and-Drop

    Follow these four simple steps:

    1. Open the data entry screen
      Navigate to the relevant Inventory Sales or Inventory Purchases data entry screen. In the bottom-right corner, locate the two green icons.
    2. Import your file
      • Select the left toggle icon and choose Import Lines, or
      • Drag your Excel file directly into the Transaction Lines area
        Note: Excel files must be saved as CSV before importing.
    3. Map and organise your data
      A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to:
      • Right-click column headings
      • Match each column to the correct SapphireOne field (e.g. Inventory SKU, Description, Rate, Quantity)
        All headings are fully customisable to suit your business requirements.
    4. Import
      Once headings are confirmed, select Import to populate the Transaction Lines instantly.
    All headings within every SapphireOne data entry screen are also fully customisable, and you can select from a range of heading options to meet your specific business requirements. In the above image we have selected Inventory SKU, Description, Rate and Quantity as an example.
    Whether you are importing a small amount of data or an order of 40,000 line items, the Drag & Drop feature will function in the same simple and time efficient way and dramatically streamline data entry processes for your business.
