The Sapphire Tools menu is located on the main toolbar, and the screenshot to the left is displaying the Sapphire Tools that are available when an Inventory Inquiry is onscreen. It should be noted that while the items listed on the tool’s menu do alter, depending on the Inquiry or function being used at the time, the procedure to access Sapphire Tools is exactly the same each time. There are several methods of selecting either a default tool or a pick list of Sapphire Tools:

Tools Icon

Directly selecting the Sapphire Tools icon. The system will not display the drop-down pick list for the user to select from, instead it will execute the default tool that is at the top of the pick list only. For the Inventory inquiry as seen to the left the system will execute the Include Inactive tool. The default tool at the top of the list will alter for each and every inquiry or function throughout the SapphireOne system.

Down arrow

The small down arrow on the right side of the icon must be selected to display the complete drop-down pick list of tool functions. This action has been used in the screenshot to the left so that the complete pick list of tools is displayed for the reader.

Keyboard shortcut

Use the shortcut key (Command K) and you will be presented with a drop-down pick list containing the same tool options as when the down arrow is selected.

Option

Go to the Options menu and select Tools from the drop-down menu. You will be presented with a drop-down pick list containing the same tool options as when the down arrow is selected. Any item that has a small arrow preceding its name, has a sub-menu containing additional Sapphire tools for the user to select from.

For Australian software companies, the pitfalls are many, the successes are few. Technology is pretty easy to invent but building a viable company and business model is pretty hard to do. SapphireOne is an Australian based Financial and Enterprise Resource Planning – ERP software company that has a growing number of customers. Since beginning SapphireOne is competing against technology industry titans like SAP, Oracle.
