    Inquiries

    SapphireOne Payroll/HR allows for advanced search, sort and report functions to be used in conjunction with the inquiry screens. The inquiry screens provide for the addition and modification of records.

    Employee Inquiry

    The employee inquiry screen allows the user to view, modify or create employees.

    Employee Details

    While modifying the employee details the user can change screens by simply selecting an option from the drop down list or pressing one of the function keys. With thorough and easy to understand entry details, the user will have no difficulties in modifying or adding employee details.

    Salary

    SapphireOne Payroll/HR takes into consideration that employees are hired under a variety of contracts and conditions. SapphireOne Payroll/HR provides the ability to enter either the salary or hourly pay rate and then performs the relevant pay calculations. SapphireOne Payroll/HR also provides option buttons to allow the selection of the terms of the contract, from temporary part-time, permanent full-time or casual etc.

    Automatic Transfer Of Leave Details

    With SapphireOne Payroll/HR there is no need to modify multiple screens to update leave details for a specific employee. All that is required is entering the leave details when processing the pay. Once the pay has been completed the employee leave history is automatically updated.

    Custom

    SapphireOne Payroll/HR does not limit employee details to just pay rates, allowances and tax details.

    Depending on the company needs, custom fields can be used to keep a variety of details such as the name of the employee’s family members, or other useful particulars. The user can also keep dates of promotions or special events. Pictures can be used for security and/or to print staff IDs. As these custom fields are alphanumeric, date types, text types and picture types, there is no limit to the type of information retained.

    Keywords And Notes

    Add Notes to Employee records to assist in tracking important information. All notes can be date, time and user stamped for accurate record keeping. Notes are displayed in chronological order for rapid and efficient viewing. All are sortable, searchable and reportable.

    Private Tax File Number

    To ensure the privacy of tax details SapphireOne encrypts the employees tax file number to protect it from unauthorised viewing. However, this information can be specifically viewed by an authorised user if required.

    Employee Class Or Departments

    SapphireOne has the ability to deal with a complex hierarchy of departments and classes. For example, if an organisation has different departments, and also different office locations, the user has the ability to set up departments by both the class field and department field.

    Award Entitlement Inquiry

    Award Entitlement Inquiry provides for grouping of employees and allows defaults for leave and superannuation to be set up by award, minimising data entry requirements.

    Award Entitlement Screen

    In the Award Entitlement screen the user can specify a package or hourly rate and on going pay rate details. This could be utilised if you were to set up retail award wages, which commonly increase with the update of Enterprise Agreements.

    RDO (Rostered Days Off)

    Payroll/HR also allows the configuration of RDO’s (Rostered Days Off). Details can be entered relating to company policy for automatically triggering RDOs when processing staff pays.

    Leave

    Most organisations set up a common rule regarding leave allowances. However, if your organization’s leave allowances differ depending on the position or the length of time employed, the flexibility of SapphireOne’s Payroll/HR allows these specific requirements to be set up.

    Employee Remuneration

    The employee remuneration inquiry provides a history of changes to the employee’s details and information.

    Allowance Inquiry

    The allowance inquiry provides access to all allowances and deductions. They are initially set up here and then maintained, as required during the payroll operations.

    Allowance Class Inquiry

    SapphireOne Payroll/HR also provides access to an additional sort level. This can then be applied to reporting with SapphireOne Payroll/HR, in order to do further analysis.

    Allowance Totals Inquiry

    The Allowance Totals inquiry provides access to allowance and deduction totals by employee. This includes period (pay run), month to date and year to date information.

    Tax Scale Inquiry

    Here the user can set up, modify and view tax scale listings covering all tax scales including non residents, tax free threshold, medicare levy and HECS.
